Jeff Gillett, Executive Vice President, at Elliot Associates, a division of The Elliot Group, a leader in Hospitality Consulting and Executive Search. Jeff’s restaurant career spans 30 years in a wide variety of operational, human resources and executive search roles. Jeff joined The Elliot Group in 2005 and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. He currently spearheads C-Level and senior executive multi-disciplinary search assignments.
For 16 years, Jeff led management recruiting for Los Angeles-based Hillstone Restaurant Group (formerly Houston’s) involved in all recruiting strategy, succession planning, management training and development. In addition to management staffing, Jeff conducted searches in several disciplines, including design, project management, accounting, systems and human resources while leading development of restaurant staff level recruiting and enterprise hiring policies. Jeff also developed a college internship program, human resource auditing system and behavioral based interview training.
Prior to Hillstone, Jeff worked for Bennigan’s Restaurant, joining in 1983 while in college rotating through kitchen, dining room, training and supervisory positions before entering the Management Training Program after completing his Hospitality Business degree from Michigan State University. Jeff remains active at his alma mater serving as Executive Director on the School of Hospitality Business Executive Alumni Board, recently honored as Emerging Alumni Leader of the Year and is a former Michigan State Recruiter of the Year. Jeff has been a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (CHRIE).
Throughout his career, Jeff has served on several University Advisory Boards and has been a frequent guest lecturer at hospitality management programs. Jeff is Founding Advisory Board Member at Dunwoody High School Academy of Finance and leads the annual Restaurant Development Project. Jeff and his family reside in Atlanta.
